Practical Numeracy
24th Nov 2025
In their numeracy lesson, Primary Seven explored the concept of nets of 3D shapes using practical resources. They investigated how two dimensional shapes can be folded to create three dimensional solids such as cubes, cuboids, pyramids and prisms. Working collaboratively the girls constructed nets, paying attention to properties such as faces, edges and vertices. Through hands on building they developed spatial awareness and discussed which nets were valid for forming a closed shape.
