Practical Learning

This week the girls in Miss Wylie’s class explored area and fractions through a hands on maths lesson using multi link cubes. They built shapes, calculated the area in centimetres squared and then represented their work on paper. The girls extended their learning by finding fractional parts of the area and applying their skills to a word problem.
