Irish News Young News Readers

P7 are enjoying taking part in the Irish News Young News Readers Programme, with a focus this week on analysing images in the newspaper. The girls explored how to “read” a photograph by looking closely at factors such as actions of people, the setting and the background objects. We spoke about the overall messages these images were trying to convey. Using what they had been taught about impartial visuals and effective advertising, the girls then set to work designing an advertisement for our own school. We are excited to continue the project next week as we begin to digitalise our adverts.
