Advent

As we are approaching the third week of Advent,  the girls in Miss Wylie’s class have been using our special giving advent calendar to mark off the days. We were very lucky to participate in a workshop with De La Salle retreat centre, where the girls created special messages to place into our advent giving calendar. This has been a great way of understanding that advent is a special time of anticipation when we must get our hearts ready for Christmas. In this way the girls understand that Christmas is not just about presents, but about celebrating faith and love. This week the girls made their own advent wreaths using felt and typed up a special way they will get their hearts ready for Christmas.
