Studying the Artwork of William Morris

23rd May 2022

Primary Seven have been learning about The Victorians, as part of their studies they have been exploring the artwork of William Morris. Using a number of Morris' designs the girls have been identifying repeated patterns and lines of symmetry. The girls then traced some of Morris' designs, and transferred this onto paper to give them an idea of the process involved in block printing. Their next task will be to design their own artwork in the style of Morris. Once they have done this the girls will then use the app 'Amaziograph' to present their work digitally.

We cannot wait to see how this turns out!

Keep an eye on our class web page to track the girls' progress.
