Small Words Workshop - Changing Hearts & Minds

Primary Six were privileged to welcome members of Belfast's Friendship Club into our school today to facilitate a Small Words Workshop. The workshop enabled the pupils to meet and learn about the cultures and life experiences of people from Syria, London, Bangladesh, Italy and Canada. As a consequence of the workshop the values of trust, respect and empathy were fostered by our young participants. As a School of Sanctuary, we value and celebrate diversity in our school.

The words of Maya Angelou certainly resonated today:

'In diversity there is beauty and there is strength.'
